Sachs Harbor/Ikaahuk, Northwest Territories

Located on Banks Island, Ikaahuk means "where you go across to". It was given its non-traditional name in honor of the ship 'Mary Sachs' which served as part of the 1913 Canadian Arctic Expedition.
